Welcome to Boston Overseas Montessori!
We are an American-based educational institution in Sri Lanka specializing in early childhood development using the Montessori method (developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s), with extensively qualified and experienced teachers. Our goal is to ensure that each child who is enrolled at Boston Overseas experiences a comprehensive learning experience through intellectual, sensorial, and social stimulation under U.S. standards that will profoundly benefit their later stages in life.

Our Services
We deliver our services through a panel of AMI and AMS qualified teachers who are reliable, trustworthy, and innovative in encouraging the love of learning in your child. We provide all coursework materials (craft supplies, watercolors, books, pencils, crayons, baking supplies, aprons, etc.) necessary for your child. Since we supply all the books for your child, you will not have to search for and purchase textbooks. All these materials are imported from one of the leading Montessori materials manufacturers in the United States to ensure the quality of the products and the safety of your child. We also provide complimentary organic meals to all children enrolled at Boston Overseas Montessori.
During certain periods of the year, we will be inviting additional Montessori teachers from the United States to visit Boston Overseas to provide opportunities for children to experience American culture. These teachers will be teaching children while sharing their knowledge and experiences with our team.
An Environment of American Values and Standards
At Boston Overseas Montessori, we maintain the experience of an actual American classroom environment based on AMI and AMS curriculum with replication of culture found in the United States. All the Montessori materials we use are imported from the United States and we ensure that they do not contain any plastics or other substances that can be harmful to children or the environment.
Physical Environment
At Boston Overseas, classrooms are designed and equipped to foster an environment that amplifies knowledge while focusing on freedom, peace, independence, safety, comfort, grooming, and activities. Our classrooms are designed in a manner that enables the child to perform activities and explore the classroom without the immediate assistance from a teacher. This allows the growth of a child’s sense of independence and responsibility.
Children’s Health and Safety
We hold the health and safety of children among the highest priorities at Boston Overseas. We have established safety precautions to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 while enabling children to enjoy social interactions that are highly beneficial for their development. Our staff members are trained in sanitation and public health safety procedures recommended by experts.
As an additional layer of protection to ensure the safety of your child, Boston Overseas Montessori is equipped with CCTV cameras throughout the premises. Additionally, we have established strict guidelines for pick-up procedures to make sure that your child returns home safely after school.
